It is important to note that not all blackbirds are black, there will be subtle differences in the lessons each species brings. As with any bird, animal or stone, a good way to gauge the difference is to compare the dominant color to the chakra definitions. For example, redwinged blackbird would represent clearing the seed chakra, opening to financial wealth and sensuality. It can also represent the relationship you have with your mother. Note the symbolism of their colorations and environments. Blackbird brings omens, mysticism, reveals a fear that is ruling you, and opens you to receive new adventures and life experiences.
