Gemstones and crystals can be used to enhance any healing or divination system. Each stone possesses its own individual energy. To find out if a
stone is right for you, hold it in your dominant hand for a few seconds. If it "feels" right then it is willing to work for you. A wonderful healer, Vivian
who works with stones said that "It is up to us to give our stones legs, ask them who would like to travel with you in your pocket or perhaps be
placed in your car." If you would like to have your stones with you at work or in another place but would prefer to keep them discreet, they will be
very happy as an addition to a potted plant, fountain or windowsill. I place gemstones in many of my meditative art pieces available in the

Cleansing your crystals is a very important part of keeping them charged or filled with positive energy. You can do this in several different ways. One
way is to place them in a jar of water that has had a tablespoon of sea salt added to it. Let them sit in the bowl of water over night. Another way to
cleanse your crystals and gemstones is to let them sit outside or in a windowsill on the night of the full moon. The energy of the moon will help to
revitalize your stones. Burying them is another option. This is especially useful if you have used your stones in healing or in the removal of highly
negative energies. Stones should be buried on the new moon and dug back up on the full moon. This allows the energy to return to the earth.
Stones can also be "smudged" or passed through the smoke of sage and cedar.


This is a very brief chart on some of my favorite stones. For a more complete guide to stones I suggest purchasing anything written by Melody and
visiting Ozark Rock Exchange. Stephanie has compiled a fantastic and very thorough reference on crystals and gemstones. Most of my stones have
come from there and always arrive filled with excellent energy.
Please remember that just because a stone shows that it has healing properties, common sense says that it does not replace the advise of your
physician. So be wise, if you are sick, go to the doctor. Herbs, stones and other alternative healing is intended to be in addition to and with the
guidance of your doctor, it is to  never never never replace the advice of your doctor.
